Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, together with DPWH Region X officials, inspected the De la Rosa Elevated Walkway in Makati City as a benchmark for the proposed elevated walkway along C.M. Recto Avenue in Cagayan de Oro, which aims to enhance pedestrian connectivity by linking key sites including Northern Mindanao Medical Center, Ayala Centrio Mall, SM CDO Downtown, Limketkai Mall, Gaisano Mall, and Nazareno Parish Church, enabling safer and more convenient access without crossing major roads; an initial ₱83 million has been secured for 2026, part of the project’s estimated ₱400 million total cost.
