Today, March 24, 2026, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. declared a State of National Energy Emergency through Executive Order No. 110. Signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, the declaration comes in light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the resulting risks to the availability and stability of the country’s energy supply.
