Crystal Hersh Lustre of Niña Maria Learning Center, Trixie Joy Becera of South City Central School, and Lloyd Patungan of Canitoan National High School delivered the first gold medals for Cagayan de Oro—winning in taekwondo, arnis, and athletics, respectively—at the ongoing Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) Meet 2026 in Bukidnon. The city delegation went without a gold on opening day but bounced back strongly on Day 2, with several events still scheduled in the days ahead.
