Two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation along Coastal Road in Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro early morning of March 19, 2026. Identified as “Wen,” 23, and “Jun,” 25, both residents of Calaanan, Canitoan, the suspects were caught by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other police units. Authorities seized around 3 kilos of suspected “shabu” worth approximately ₱20.4 million. The suspects are now detained, while the confiscated drugs will undergo laboratory examination. Charges are being prepared for violation of Republic Act 9165.
