A ₱200-million, 4.6-megawatt solar power plant is now underway in Sapang Dalaga, marked by a groundbreaking and feng shui ceremony. The project is set to provide cheaper electricity for residents by lowering generation costs and transmission fees. The launch was attended by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Vice Mayor Donjie Animas, local officials, and the project’s board of directors, with MOELCI I officials highlighting how the plant will deliver sustainable and reliable energy to the province. This investment also reflects growing confidence in Misamis Occidental, driven by a peaceful environment and the local government’s strong support for renewable energy and investor-friendly policies.
