The proposed Binuangan Bridge—an iconic arch-type steel structure that would connect Bernadette Beach and Barangay Mosangot and provide a scenic overlooking view of the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine and the adjacent Lourdes Bay Resort in Binuangan, Misamis Oriental—was excluded from the 2026 General Appropriations Act (GAA). Although funding for the bridge’s three phases was approved during deliberations on the 2026 national budget, the project was ultimately removed from the final Bicameral Conference Committee report.

As shown below, DPWH-10 actively pushed for the inclusion of the bridge project; however, it was removed in the final bicameral conference committee report.

This proposed bridge will allow motorists to bypass the curved highway passing the entrance to a popular tourist and religious site in the municipality.

Despite the setback, the local government unit said on its Facebook page that it remains steadfast in pursuing other opportunities and development initiatives to further uplift the Municipality of Binuangan.
