CRIME WATCH: Suspect in gruesome killing of 15-year-old student in Valencia City surrenders after police manhunt

The main suspect in the killing of 15-year-old Grade 9 student Jennifer Encarnacion in Valencia City, Bukidnon has surrendered to authorities. Marlon Rosaut, 38, turned himself in to Lumad leaders on Saturday morning, January 10, in the mountainous area of Sitio Buco, Barangay Banlag, following a sustained police manhunt. The victim’s body was discovered on January 8 in a sugarcane field in Barangay Dagat Ki-Davao, two days after she was reported missing, with her severed head found several meters away. Rosaut is now in police custody and was presented to the media wearing a helmet and a police bulletproof vest.
