VIDEO WATCH: Netizens slam driver for using blinker in Cagayan de Oro traffic

Blinkers or sirens are meant only for ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles during emergencies, yet a video circulating online shows a private vehicle driver using a blinker to move through traffic in Cagayan de Oro City. The westbound vehicle was caught in traffic at Bigaan Bridge in Gusa, with passengers laughing as the driver remarked he uses the blinker “rarely.” The clip drew criticism from netizens—especially motorists stuck in heavy holiday traffic—who accused the driver of abusing emergency signals and described the passengers’ behavior as “hilas.” Although the original video was deleted, copies were re-uploaded across multiple platforms, prompting calls for authorities to revoke the driver’s license.
