CDO para athlete wins bronze in Asian Youth Para Games 2025 amid mother’s passing

Para table tennis player Vroxzield Barge Cabañero won a bronze medal at the Asian Youth Para Games in Dubai just moments after learning that his mother had passed away in an accident. Despite losing in the semifinals, he dedicated his medal to his mother, saying he had promised her a gold but gave his best. Cabañero, who lives in Cagayan de Oro, is still competing in the men’s doubles with partner Ramcel Tuala, who also secured a bronze in his singles event.
