Back in the 1990s, a one-of-a-kind water attraction became an instant hit in Cagayan de Oro City. Wet Adventure Park, located along Kauswagan Highway and RN Pelaez Boulevard—now the site of The Promenade and Savemore Kauswagan—featured several intricately designed pools, water slides, and gazebos. It quickly became a go-to destination for family picnics and school swimming activities. In its later years, the park hosted wet parties with live bands, which drew complaints from nearby residential areas due to noise and loud music. Eventually, the park closed its doors.
