RANDOM SHOTS: Reticulated pythons and dog-toothed cat snake turned over to DENR-10

Two reticulated pythons (Malayopython reticulatus) captured in Barangays Lapasan and Patag, and a dog-toothed cat snake found in Barangay Puntod, all in Cagayan de Oro City, have been safely turned over to DENR Region X. Barangay personnel, the CDO-USAR team, and the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Station 5 who worked together to secure the snakes, immediately coordinated with the Protected Area Management and Biodiversity Conservation Section to ensure proper handling and prevent any risk of illegal wildlife trade. The snake species are now under the care of the Regional Wildlife Rescue Center, where they will undergo monitoring and proper care before their potential release back into the wild.
