Personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Claveria successfully rescued a monitor lizard, which was later turned over to the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Claveria. The rescued reptile was then brought to the DENR-10 Regional Office in Cagayan de Oro City for proper assessment, documentation, and care. Authorities emphasized the importance of safely handling wildlife encounters and urged the public to immediately report similar incidents to ensure the animals’ protection and proper rehabilitation.
