Alexis “Cool Cat” Toylo of Cagayan de Oro City pulled off a thrilling 5–4 upset win over England’s World No. 4 Stephen Bunting at the opening of the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, England. In his first-ever Grand Slam appearance, Toylo becomes only the third Filipino to compete in this prestigious tournament. He will next face World No. 16 Martin Schindler of Germany in Group C, where only the top two players advance to the next round.
