The pre-feasibility study on the long-awaited Mindanao Railway Project Phase 3, has been officially completed. This was revealed by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Director for Planning Felicisimo Pangilinan in the ongoing 2nd Mindanao Infrastructure Summit held at the Xavier Sports and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro City. The proposed 54.8-kilometer railway line will link Laguindingan Airport to Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, passing through Alubijid, El Salvador, Opol, Cagayan de Oro, and Tagoloan, enhancing connectivity, mobility, and logistics efficiency in Northern Mindanao. The project now advances to the full feasibility study, marking another crucial milestone toward realizing the Mindanao Railway vision.
