The Cagayan de Oro City Museum and Heritage Studies Center will be temporarily closed to the public as engineers conduct structural inspections following the recent earthquakes in Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur. Formerly known as the Old Cagayan Waterworks Tank or simply the Old Water Tower, the structure was completed in 1922 and has withstood the bombings of World War II. Today, it remains one of the city’s most significant historical landmarks.
