CDO, Bukidnon pickleball players shine in 2025 World Championship in Bali, Indonesia

Pickleball is no longer just a rising pastime in Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon—it’s now bringing home international glory. At the 2025 World Pickleball Championship in Bali, Indonesia, several local athletes not only made it to the podium but also clinched championship titles, including Kapitan Chaves and Dominic Morilla (Men’s Doubles 50+, Intermediate 3.5), Juan Paulo Fermin and Ian Malacaman (Men’s Doubles 19+, Advanced 4.5), Honey Gilles and Hizen Novi Melendez (Women’s Doubles 19+, Intermediate 3.5+), and Scooby Sia Casiño and Honey Gilles (Mixed Doubles 19+, Intermediate 3.5+). These victories highlight how local pickleball talent is stepping onto the global stage and making Northern Mindanao proud.
