A new 9-kilometer alternate road linking Balingasag and Claveria in Misamis Oriental will soon be realized through the new Balingasag-Claveria Alternate Road Project. The route will connect Sitio Lambagohon in Barangay Hinaplanan in Claveria to Barangay Blanco in Balingasag, providing a faster and more convenient link between the two towns. The project includes Contract ID 25K00324 (Package 5 – Balingasag side) and Contract ID 25K00365 (Package 6 – Claveria side), each with an approved budget of ₱289.5 million. In addition, a separate bridge crossing the Cabulig River is being lined up for funding in the next phase.
