Coastal Road ‘Superman’ stunt ends in tragedy, rider slams into parked taxi

A 20-year-old rider from Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, died after his Suzuki Raider 150 motorcycle crashed into a parked taxi while reportedly performing a “Superman” stunt along the Coastal Road in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City at dawn on Tuesday, September 9. Police said the victim, identified as Paul Adrian Pagao, had been watching a drag race and was challenged to show off before losing control near Dansole Bridge. He was not wearing a helmet and died on the spot after sustaining severe injuries. While the case has been classified as a self-accident, authorities are also looking into possible sanctions against the taxi driver for parking in a non-designated area.
