Tragedy struck Sitio Sawiki, Barangay Patpat, Malitbog, Bukidnon on the afternoon of August 25, 2025, when a landslide claimed the lives of two individuals and left another injured. Police said the victims, all brothers and engaged in treasure hunting, were buried when continuous rains softened the soil, triggering the landslide.
