Bukidnon is set to rise as a sports and cultural hub with the near completion of the Bukidnon Sports Complex and the Northern Mindanao Center for Culture and the Arts in Laguitas, Malaybalay City. Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairperson John Patrick Gregorio, Governor Oneil Roque, and Mayor Warren Pabillaran recently led a site inspection as preparations for turnover continue. The world-class complex has already shown its potential after hosting a Ben&Ben concert last year and is poised to become a training ground for national athletes—including boxers, martial artists, and other top talents—through an upcoming partnership with the PSC.

Meanwhile, the cultural center will feature a museum and auditorium to showcase the rich history, heritage, and artistry of Bukidnon and the rest of Northern Mindanao. With construction almost complete, both locals and visitors can look forward to more sports, music, and cultural events in the province.

Joining the inspection were DPWH-10 Regional Director Lilibeth Aparecio, Engr. Virgie Nayve, District Engineer Maria David, Assistant District Engineer Sarah Lagrama, and boxing coach Elmer Pamisa.
