RANDOM SHOTS: “Art at Transfiguration Abbey” exhibit opens in celebration of faith, culture, and creativity

The Benedictine Monks of the Monastery of the Transfiguration in Malaybakay City, led by Abbot Savio and curator Dom Martin Hizon-Gomez, formally opened the “Art at Transfiguration Abbey” exhibit on August 6, 2025, in celebration of the monastery’s 43rd founding anniversary and the Feast of the Transfiguration. Featuring over 100 artworks—including a piece by the late President Corazon Aquino—the exhibit highlights diverse artistic expressions from various creators, including nuns and local soil artists. Department of Tourism Region 10 Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan praised the exhibit’s contribution to faith-based and cultural tourism. The public may visit the exhibit at the Museum of the Transfiguration Abbey from August 7 to November 6, 2025.
