Misamis Oriental 2nd District Representative Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano is calling on the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to require all airline companies landing at Laguindingan Airport to include “Misamis Oriental” in their in-flight announcements. Through House Resolution No. 114, Rep. Emano emphasized that accurately stating “Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental” not only ensures geographical correctness but also strengthens local identity, pride, and recognition in the country’s transport and tourism sectors. Airlines often announce only “Laguindingan,” leaving out “Misamis Oriental.”
