RANDOM SHOTS: Endangered tarsier found and rescued in Malaybalay City

A Philippine tarsier, considered an endangered species, was found and rescued by Malaybalay City Forest Patrollers and personnel of Malaybalay City ENRO in the city’s forested area last July 31. The tiny, nocturnal primate is protected by law and should not be kept as pets or disturbed. Anyone who encounters wildlife is encouraged to coordinate with DENR or local authorities to ensure the animals’ safety and conservation.

Though more commonly associated with Bohol, the species also inhabits parts of Mindanao, including Bukidnon and other areas within the region. This sighting serves as a reminder of the rich biodiversity that still thrives in Bukidnon’s highlands and the need to protect it for future generations.
