Lapasan bet emerges as early favorite in Miss Cagayan de Oro 2025 with 5 corporate awards

Candidate No. 8 Gwyneth Jemimah Chan of Lapasan emerged as an early favorite in the Miss Cagayan de Oro 2025 pageant after winning five corporate awards during the Preliminary Event held on August 2 at SM CDO Downtown Event Center. Chan was named Miss Racini Bags, Miss Parafiber, Apollo’s World Class Beauty Award, Miss Sophia, and Miss Converge. Three other candidates also received two awards each: Candidate No. 11 Francine Abueva of Macasandig, Candidate No. 4 Charlaine Batobato of Gusa, and Candidate No. 10 Berjayneth Chee of Bulua. The event also featured the swimsuit and evening gown competitions, with winners to be announced on coronation night on August 23.
