A solo parent organization in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City now has its own livelihood opportunity, thanks to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). On July 18, DOLE formally turned over a laundry shop livelihood project to the group under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), which supports vulnerable sectors with sustainable income sources. The laundry shop located at Block 6, Lot 17, Villa Nena Subdivision Phase 2, is expected to empower solo parents by providing them with a steady means of livelihood, helping them support their families and become more self-reliant.
