Former Gilas youth standout Kristian Porter led United Legacy Ascend to victory with 21 points as they defeated Max Ballers Davao, 88-77, in the Sinag Liga Asya Junior World Showcase Mindanao Cup Finals held today at the USTP Gym in Cagayan de Oro City. The 6’5” Porter, who last played for Ateneo de Manila University, set the tone early with three triples in the first quarter, helping United Legacy Ascend secure the championship in the U21 division. Other division winners are JProject Boomer (U19), Tumakbo USA (U17), Juggernaut Bererem (U15), and Webley Future Ballers (U13).

Meanwhile, Marc Burgos scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as JProject Boomers routed Toyland Bistro, 73-51, for the U19 title.
In the U17 division, Tumakbo USA upended host CDO Higalas, 68-59.
Juggernaut Bererem Davao reigned in the U15 division at the expense of CDO Higalas.
And finally, Webley Future Ballers dumped CDO Higalas in the U13 finals.
