In a significant show of unity, Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao and Congressman Celso Regencia have put aside political differences to work together for a stronger and more progressive Iligan. Joining them is Vice Mayor Ernest Oliver “Wekwek” Uy, completing a leadership team that aims to focus on collaboration over conflict for the good of the city’s residents.

Mayor Siao shared that since first winning as Congressman in 2016, he has always believed true progress requires unity among leaders. This historic moment now sends a clear message that when leaders choose mutual respect and public service over division, real progress can happen for the people of Iligan.

On the other hand, Congressman Celso Regencia said he has opened talks with Mayor Siao and Vice Mayor Uy to strengthen cooperation between the local and national governments. He aims to align with the city’s projects and see where Congress can help, including plans for an economic zone and land preparation for major developments. Regencia hopes this partnership will focus on real progress for the people of Iligan.
