Proposed ferry routes are being planned to improve connectivity between Macabalan Port and Barangay Puerto in Cagayan de Oro City, as well as Laguindingan in Misamis Oriental. These routes aim to offer commuters and travelers in the metropolitan area a more convenient and efficient transportation option. The proposal was highlighted in Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy’s Term Report as part of the Port Town Development Area, one of eight key development zones identified by city planners. Further studies and stakeholder consultations are expected as the plan progresses.
