PROJECT WATCH: More renderings revealed for Laguindingan International Airport’s Phase 1 infrastructure plan

Take a look at the landside perspective of Phase 1 of the new infrastructure plan for Laguindingan International Airport. This slide—shared by a follower from a recent presentation—offers a glimpse of the proposed facelift featuring enhanced curbside design and expanded commercial areas. Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), which officially took over the airport’s operations and maintenance on April 26, is spearheading these major upgrades to elevate passenger experience and boost regional connectivity. Hopefully, we’ll have clearer version of the perspectives.

AIC previously unveiled its development plans for Laguindingan International Airport, starting with the renovation and expansion of the passenger terminal building under Phase 1 to accommodate up to 3.9 million passengers annually. Phase 2 will further boost the airport’s capacity to 6.3 million passengers, featuring the construction of additional infrastructure, installation of boarding bridges, and enhancement of commercial facilities to improve overall passenger experience.
