Shayne Mark Monreal, a Grade 4 student from Initao Central School in Misamis Oriental, emerged as the most bemedaled athlete from Northern Mindanao in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2025 in Ilocos Norte after clinching four gold medals in arnis (elementary boys division). The 9-year-old standout impressed national media with his stellar performance, earning top honors in Synchronized Likha Anyo – Single Weapon, Synchronized Likha Anyo – Double Weapon, Likha Anyo – Espada y Daga, and Mixed Double Weapon.
