A year after he was last seen in Davao, “Migo” — a familiar figure in Cagayan de Oro decades ago — has now been spotted in General Santos City. Migo or short for amigo is known to many Kagay-anons as the PWD with the large voice regularly seen asking for money along Mortola Street near Ororama Cogon. Recently, a netizen recorded a video of him outside a mall in GenSan. While some expressed concern and compassion, the clip also sparked mixed reactions — especially after he was seen using a smartphone, with some viewers speculating he might have been playing ‘scatter’, the term for the popular online slot machine game.
