PROJECT WATCH: DPWH to improve access to Abaga Falls and Sikyop Falls in El Salvador City

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be enhancing access to two of El Salvador City’s natural attractions: Abaga Falls and Sikyop Falls, both located in Barangay San Francisco de Asis. This ₱77.2-million infrastructure project is aimed at boosting the city’s eco-tourism industry by facilitating safer and more convenient travel for both residents and tourists. This development is expected to increase visitor numbers, thereby generating employment opportunities and boosting income for local communities.

Abaga Falls, while familiar to locals, remains largely undiscovered by many residents of the province and the surrounding region.
