The ongoing 2025 State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) National Games in Camiguin has taken a tragic turn with the death of a student-boxer. Marc Mateo Castillo, representing the Southern Tagalog Region and Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC), passed away after losing his boxing match via Referee Stopped Contest (RSC) in the third round on Saturday, April 26 at the Agoho Covered Court in Mambajao.
