President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. attended the Northern Mindanao Regional Development Council (RDC-X) meeting yesterday, 22 April 2025 at the 4th Infantry Division (4ID) Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City. The meeting which was also attended by NEDA Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and other Cabinet officials, highlighted strategic, high-impact infrastructure projects that align with the administration’s commitment to collaborative governance in addressing regional development issues.

Among the key projects presented was the recently completed ₱8.026-billion Panguil Bay Bridge, the completion of the ₱12.538-billion Cagayan de Oro River Flood Control Project, and ongoing road infrastructure, including the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road and the Iligan City Coastal Bypass Roads.

Key infrastructure projects like the Laguindingan Airport expansion and the integrated steel mill were also discussed.

The meeting came after the inauguration of the P430.3-million Balingoan Port Expansion Project in Misamis Oriental.

Other Cabinet officials who attended the meeting include DOST Secretary Renato Solidum Jr., DepEd Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, MinDA Secretary Leo Tereso Magno, Special Assistant to the President Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., and Presidential Communications Secretary Jay Ruiz.
