The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to improve vessel traffic management in the waterways of Macajalar Bay. The partnership aims to enhance navigation safety, strengthen security for vessels, facilities, individuals, and properties, and provide Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) users with timely information and necessary assistance within the covered area.
The MOA was signed by PCG Vice Admiral Edgar L. Ybañez and PHIVIDEC Administrator and CEO Atty. Joseph Donato Bernedo on March 28, 2025, at the PHIVIDEC-IA Complex in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
