El Salvador City dominated the boys chess competition at Palarong Pampook 2025 in Misamis Occidental, winning eight gold medals with National Master Keith Adriane Ilar claiming four golds—one in the Secondary Boys’ Standard Individual, one in Rapid Individual, and two more in the Standard Team and Rapid Team events, both with Eric Ryan Borbon. In the Elementary Boys’ division, Cedrick Gaid and Mateo Xander Tabamo secured gold in the Standard Team category. Tabamo also earned a silver in the Standard Individual, while Gaid took bronze. The team also won gold in Blitz Team Secondary boys, and Blitz Individual in both secondary and elementary boys. Congratulations!
