Bukidnon trail runners showcased their strength and skill at the Philippine National Trail Running Championships (PNTRC) held on March 22-23 in Danao City, Cebu. Cessa Monterde and Evan Dian Sitoy dominated the U23 Mountain Classic, finishing 1st and 2nd, respectively; Noime Fernandez claimed 2nd place in the 40K Short Trail Female category, and Gabriel Mirar secured 2nd place in the Long Trail Male category and 3rd place in the 40K Short Trail Male category. Congratulations!

The PNRTC is an annual event organized by the Philippine Trail Running Association (PHILTRA). It brings together trail runners who have qualified through year-long championship qualifier events across the country to compete in various categories, including long trail, short trail, and mountain classic races. The PNTRC showcases the athletic talent and endurance of Filipino trail runners and aims to promote trail running as a sport in the Philippines.
