The vice mayor of Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur, Atty. Omar Samama, was wounded after being shot by an unidentified gunman while delivering a speech in Barangay Magaslong on Monday morning, February 24. A video of the incident which has gone viral captured the moment Samama suddenly collapsed after being hit in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital and is reportedly now in stable condition. Authorities are currently investigating the attack.
