A drunk motorist and his backrider are now detained at Cogon Police Station in Cagayan de Oro City, with their motorcycle impounded after resisting traffic officers. The rider was initially flagged down along CM Recto Avenue for not wearing a helmet but sped off, even making a dirty finger sign. As they turned to Osmena Street heading back to CM Recto, they lost control and fell. When approached by enforcers, one of them angrily pulled out a screwdriver, escalating the confrontation.
