A delegation of the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center is in Cagayan de Oro City today for a medical mission held at SM CDO Downtown Event Hall. Initiated by the city’s Filipino-Chinese community in partnership with various local partners including the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association Inc. and the Philippine Dental Association, the event aims to provide essential healthcare services. The initiative is part of the 50th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines.
Prior to the medical mission, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, along with the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy. Mayor Klarex expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Huang and the Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese community for their generosity in sponsoring the medical and dental mission, which is expected to benefit around 1,000 patients.
