A suspect wanted for statutory rape was arrested at the Ozamiz Port on January 8, 2025, during a joint operation conducted by the PNP Ozamiz Police Station, PNP Pagadian, and PNP Maritime Group, in coordination with the Port Police Division of PMO – Misamis Occidental/Ozamiz. The suspect was apprehended as passengers disembarked from the MV St. Francis Xavier of 2GO, which had arrived from Manila.
The warrant of arrest was properly served to the suspect, who was informed of the charges against him and his rights, in accordance with due legal process.
