The feasibility study for the P100.64-billion 54.8-kilometer Mindanao Railway Project (MRP) Phase 3 is expected to be completed by the first quarter of next year. This was disclosed by Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center deputy executive director Jeffrey Manalo during an interview by reporters last week. The railway system is being designed to provide link to Laguindingan International Airport, the Port of Cagayan de Oro City, the Mindanao Container Port and Phividec Industrial Estate.

The study for the inter-city passenger and cargo railway system includes the railway alignment, identification of passenger railway stations, cargo terminals, maintenance depots, operations control centers, connectivity to seaports and commercial areas.
