Women FIDE Master (WFM) Ruelle Canino from Cagayan de Oro City has once again proven her chess prowess, earning her second MVP award in the UAAP Season 87 High School Chess Tournament. At just 16 years old, Canino has also achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the second-highest FIDE-rated female chess player in the Philippines with an impressive Elo rating of 2264 as of November 1, 2024.
