PROJECT WATCH: Sayre Highway Bypass Road Puerto Climbing Lanes to resume soon

Construction of the 3.142-kilometer 4-lane Sayre Highway Bypass Road (Carmen-Puerto Climbing Lanes) is set to continue with an additional approved budget for contract of P181.42 million. Once completed, the project will enable large trucks and delivery vehicles to bypass the winding section of Sayre Highway at Carmen Hill in Upper Puerto, where long trailer trucks often slow down traffic as they navigate the sharp curves.

Here’s the alignment of the climbing lanes. The road cuts along the periphery of Xavier University property before connecting to Sayre Highway near SMDC property just before Oro Care Village (Mother Theresa Foundation).

Based on the pre-bid conference, the project has an appropriation of P238 million which covers civil works and right-of-way acquisition but only P181.42 million is approved for the Contract ID 25K00088.

This will be a 4-lane road.

Keep posted.
