A large fire broke out in San Lazaro, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City, past 2:00pm on Sunday, November 17, displacing 206 families and affecting over 800 individuals. According to the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the blaze, which reached the 4th alarm, razed an estimated 3,000 square meters of residential area, with damages amounting to at least Php 1,050,000. A total of 19 fire trucks responded to the incident, but the fire left at least 150 houses completely destroyed. Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
