Sweden Garcia, born and raised in Cagayan de Oro City and now based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, has entered the ‘The Greatest Baker 2024‘ competition, where she currently ranks 2nd in her group. Garcia worked as an assistant pastry cook for Royal Caribbean Group’s international cruise line for nearly six years before settling in Canada. Previously, she honed her skills as a patissier at Xavier Sports & Country Club and as pastry chef at N Hotel, both in Cagayan de Oro, with her first role as a cake decorator for Dessert Strip. The winner of the competition will be featured in Bake from Scratch magazine, win $20,000, and meet renowned baker, Buddy Valastro.
