The Jamaican F&B Training Center, in collaboration with the Filipino Bar Professionals and Innovators Association, hosted a successful Wine Appreciation Seminar Workshop for nearly 200 second-year Hospitality Management students of Tagoloan Community College. Held at Paula’s Hotel in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, the workshop provided a comprehensive introduction to the world of wine, equipping students with valuable knowledge and practical skills.

The seminar delved into the fascinating world of wine education, covering topics such as grape varietals, wine making techniques, and the diverse regions of wine production. Participants engaged in interactive sessions exploring sensory skills, focusing on acidity, olfactory, and gustatory perceptions. Utilizing the renowned Le Nez Du Vin wine tools, students sharpened their ability to identify and analyze the complex aromas and flavors of various wines.

The workshop also incorporated applications, including wine pairing, where students
learned to match different wines with specific dishes. They further explored the intricacies of wine service, gaining insights into proper handling, presentation, and
etiquette. The seminar concluded with a deductive wine tasting session, allowing
students to apply their newfound knowledge and skills to analyze and evaluate different wines.

This collaborative effort between Jamaican F&B Training Center and Filipino Bar
Professionals and Innovators experts showcased the power of partnerships in fostering knowledge exchange and professional development. The seminar workshop provided a valuable learning experience for the Tagoloan Community College students, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge for future careers in the hospitality industry.
