RANDOM SHOTS: 48 passengers, 9 trucks stranded at Balingoan Port as trips remain suspended due to rough seas, strong winds

A total of 48 passengers and 9 trucks/vehicles bound for Camiguin remain stranded at Balingoan Port in Misamis Oriental as of Tuesday night, October 22. The Philippine Coast Guard has yet to lift the suspension of trips due to rough seas and strong winds caused by Storm Kristine, despite no storm signals being raised over Camiguin and Balingoan.

Personnel from the Terminal Management Office of Balingoan (TMO-Balingoan) provided hot lugaw and arranged sleeping areas for the stranded passengers opting to wait for the next safe departure. Additionally, the Port has been without power since Monday night, as Moresco 2 has yet to inspect power lines, being occipied with multiple power caused by the bad weather.
