Iligan City gets P2 M from DTI for Virtual Reality 3D Metaverse Mapping

Iligan City, through its Center for Digital Iligan, Innovation, and Sustainability (CDIIS), is set to develop a 3D animation map using virtual reality technology that will highlight the city’s people, culture, museums and artists. The project titled “Creativerse Iligan: a Lungsod Lunsad Metaverse Mapping” will be funded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) under its Malikhaing Pinoy Lunsod Lunsad Program. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed yesterday, October 21 by DTI Regional Director Ruel B. Paclipan and Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao, along with DTI Provincial Director Jane Marie L. Tabucan and City Councilor Marlene Young.
