A man stealing the license plate from a parked vehicle was caught on camera. The incident, shared on Facebook by netizen Matteo Araneta Dela Torre, took place between 4:32 and 4:35 am, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Ocean View Beach Resort along the National Highway in Magoong, Linamon, Lanao del Norte. Dashcam rearview footage shows the man driving a dark pickup truck with no license plate, parking near the victim’s vehicle, and pretending to take a phone call. Moments later, he removes the license plate (KKB 6420) and drives away. The incident has been reported to police, who warned that the stolen plate could be used on getaway vehicles involved in criminal activities.
Dela Torre further stated that the license plate belongs to a Lunar Metallic Gray Nissan Terra VE 2024 registered to Louie Vincent dela Torre. Watch the footage below. If you recognize the suspect, report to the nearest police station.
